A Workshop Built on Patience and Precision

Siam Tempo started with a simple conviction: watches deserve the same quiet attention they took to build.

Who We Are

Siam Tempo

Siam Tempo opened on Phaya Thai Road with a single workbench and a preference for working slowly and deliberately. The name draws on two ideas: Siam, for the city and its long history of skilled craftsmanship, and Tempo, for the rhythm a well-serviced movement keeps.

The workshop takes on mechanical and quartz pieces from everyday wearers and collectors alike. We don't sort watches by brand prestige — what matters to us is that the piece means something to the person leaving it.

Our focus is narrow by design: crown and stem work, bracelet restoration, and complete movement servicing. Keeping the scope tight means we can do each thing well rather than spreading thinly across every possible repair.

Our Mission

Work done with honesty

We think the repair experience should feel as considered as the repair itself. That means clear communication before, during, and after the work — no surprises on the bill, no vague explanations, and no pressure to approve work you didn't ask about.

If a watch arrives in better shape than expected, we'll say so and charge less. If it needs something we didn't anticipate, we'll call before proceeding. The relationship between a watch owner and their repairer is one that should feel relaxed rather than transactional.

Bangkok has no shortage of shops that will take your watch and hand it back quickly. We'd rather take the time it needs.

Our Standards

How We Work

Movement Inspection First

Every watch is inspected under magnification before any work begins. We log what we find and share it with you before quoting.

Quality Lubricants Only

We use watchmaker-grade lubricants at correct points and volumes. Over-oiling is as damaging as neglect, and we avoid both.

Timing Accuracy Testing

After servicing, automatics are tested on a timing machine across multiple positions to verify rate accuracy before return.

Water Resistance Check

Seals and gaskets are checked during crown work and full services. Where existing seals are worn, replacements are fitted as standard.

Secure Storage

Watches in our care are logged individually and stored securely when not on the bench. Your piece is only handled when work is actively being done.

Written Service Record

Each completed repair comes with a written summary of what was done. This is useful to keep with the watch for future reference.

About Watch Repair in Bangkok

Mechanical care in the heart of the city

Bangkok has a long tradition of skilled artisan work, and watchmaking sits within that tradition comfortably. The climate here — warm, humid, and occasionally demanding on metal and seals — makes periodic servicing more important than in drier environments. Crowns that let in moisture, gaskets that compress over time, and bracelets that loosen with sweat are all common reasons people come to us.

We work with a range of movements, from older mechanical pieces that need careful attention to more recent automatics due for their first full service. The approach is the same regardless of age or origin: assess before touching, discuss before charging, and document before returning.

Ratchathewi is a convenient location — close to BTS Phaya Thai and well-connected to most parts of the city. We find that most customers prefer to drop off and collect in person, which gives us a chance to talk through the watch together at both ends of the process.

Siam Tempo does not take on every repair. If a piece requires parts or techniques we can't source reliably, we'll say so and, where possible, point you towards someone who can help. What we won't do is take a watch we can't do justice to simply to keep the booking.

A brief message is enough to get started. We'll let you know if it's something we can help with and, if so, what the process would look like.
