Questions

Things people often ask

How do I know if my watch needs a full service or just a minor repair? +
We assess this during our initial inspection. If the crown or bracelet is the only concern, a targeted repair is usually appropriate. For automatics that haven't been serviced in several years or those running noticeably slow or fast, a full service tends to be worthwhile. We'll share what we find before quoting any work.
What is your typical turnaround time? +
Crown and stem work is usually completed within a few days. Bracelet restoration takes several days depending on condition. A full service and inspection is scheduled over two to three weeks to allow proper time at each stage. We'll confirm the expected window when your watch is with us.
Do the prices listed cover parts as well? +
The prices shown cover the labour and standard consumables such as seals and lubricants. If a part needs replacing — a crown, a pin, a specific seal — we'll let you know the cost separately before sourcing anything. There are no charges added without your agreement.
Can you service vintage or unusual watches? +
We're comfortable with a range of mechanical movements, including older pieces. Whether we can help depends on parts availability and the specific calibre. Bring the watch in or describe it to us — we'll give you an honest answer rather than take on work we can't do well.
Is my watch safe while it's with you? +
Watches left with us are held securely and handled only when work is actively being carried out. We log each piece on arrival and departure. If you'd like to know more about how watches are stored, feel free to ask when you visit or get in touch beforehand.
How do I get started? +
The simplest way is to drop us a message using the form below, or call the number above. Describe what you're noticing with the watch and we'll reply with an initial thought. You can then arrange to bring the piece in at a time that suits you.
